Old Man and the Seasoned Stack
Back in 1974, when Jesse founded the business under the name Ozark Energy, he began building the foundation for what is now Smith Street Farms. For more than 40 years, he has maintained loyal clients and remembers nearly every one by name. Along the way, Jesse raised five children, earned a Master's degree in History, and taught courses at both the high school and college in Perryville, MO. He has continued to provide the good people of St. Louis with their firewood and mulch.
